Takung Art’s CEO appointed as Executive Member of Association of Chinese Culture of Hong Kong
General Manager of Hong Kong Takung Art Company Limited Mr Xiao Di is appointed by the Association of Chinese Culture of Hong Kong as Executive Member for a tenure of five years and was presented the appointment certificate by Mr Gao Gunter, JP, Chairman of the Association of Chinese Culture of Hong Kong. Hong Kong Takung Art Company Limited is also admitted as a member of the Association.
The Association of Chinese Culture of Hong Kong aims to unite the community groups and individuals in Hong Kong that love the country and Hong Kong and are willing to promote Chinese culture, form a team that converges different social strata and the general public, promote the long-standing and profound Chinese culture, facilitate the exchange of culture and art between Hong Kong and overseas, further the development of Hong Kong cultural business, win back the hearts of people and culture, uphold “one country, two systems” and social harmony to achieve stability and prosperity, promote the unity of the country and develop Hong Kong into an international metropolis of culture by contributing its efforts.
With the support of the central people’s government, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Association was established on October 28, 2000. In the past 18 years, under the leadership of Mr Gao Gunter, deputy director of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Association has grown quickly from 34 affiliated organizations at its founding to more than 450 organizations at present with over 150,000 members from a wide range of cultural sectors, including calligraphy, poetry, music and dancing, drama, literary works, political and economic review, logics of thinking, qi gong and martial arts, photography and ceramics, magic, puppet and paper cutting, animation and comics, art design, tea culture, carving and bonsai, Chinese medicine, sports and mass media, offering an unique linkage of the upper, middle and lower strata of Hong Kong incomparable to other community groups, integrating the distinctive features of different community groups in Hong Kong encompassing women, elderly people, teenagers and young people. As the Association is deeply rooted in the society, it has gained growing influence and become the largest cultural organization in Hong Kong injected with new blood that loves the country and the city.
Takung Art is prepared to make contribution jointly with the Association of Chinese Culture of Hong Kong to boost the art and cultural market in Hong Kong and promote Chinese culture.
